Bill Roney 5k

I travelled to Utica for the first race of the year and saw lots of friends. Started race and was joined by Jackie Brown, who I've known for years and joined my in Harrisburg last fall.Time 36:30, ran entire course, cold and sunny and wind.

Ran/racewalked 6 miles today, 30 degrees, sun, wind. Saw lots of folks from club, and leaves popping out of the ground.

I ran/racewalked 6 miles in 29 degrees, sun, and wind. Met Joe, and gave him tips and invited him to join the club.

Saturday I did 6 miles, run/walk in mid 30'sand stiff wind.
Sunday I did 6.25 in mid 30's, winy, run/racewalk.

I did a 4 mile run/walk today - 20, sun, wind.

Treadmill

It was 34 and pouring outside so I ran on the treadmill and did some weights. Frankly, I'd prefer to run outside.
Last Sunday I went to the park, xc ski for 2 miles, and ran for 1 mile.

Back in Training

After a long rest period, I got out to the park today. I needed the rest in December, and it was too cold to run in January. I ran once on the treadmill in jan. I've had a nasty cold, the last 2 1/2 weeks and I'm better now. I met the club in the boathouse, first. Then I did a run/waly out to the 2 mile mark and returned. It was 27, but the wind was stiff. I had on my goretex suit, but my face froze the first 1/2 mile into the wind by the lake. Coming back was a slight downhill with the wind at my back and I was practicly floating. Sunny and nice out of the wind.
